Crack That Smile

Crack That Smile is a 2D incremental arcade game. The screen is filled with floating blocks of ice, each holding a frozen emoji. The player’s aim is to break through the layers of ice to free the emojis inside.

The game does not use clicking. The player moves a circular cursor over the ice blocks, and any block under the cursor begins to crack, shatter and melt away automatically. Every piece of ice destroyed earns currency, which can be spent on upgrades. The upgrades include a larger crushing radius and faster crushing speed, along with other improvements.

Freed emojis are added to collections that the player can complete as they advance. Progress takes the player through frozen layouts that become more challenging over time. Players can sweep the cursor across the ice themselves, or let their upgraded stats clear the blocks with less input. The game is described as a short arcade title.
