Daggermap
Daggermap is a tabletop roleplaying companion designed for running combat encounters and scenes. Users import their own map images or looping video backgrounds, either from local folders or a built-in library, and place tokens on a grid. The software uses computer vision to detect square or hex grids in map images and aligns tokens to them automatically. Tokens can also be reshaped into circles, squares or hexes.
The canvas is infinite and supports square, hex, dot, gridless and 2.5D isometric modes. Available tools include range measurement, snap-to-grid area of effect templates, fog of war masking, multi-scene campaign management and HP and name labels on tokens. The interface is intended to work across different screen sizes. Sessions can be shared with other players by entering a room name and distributing a QR code or link, while all other functionality operates offline.
The developer has deliberately omitted several features common to virtual tabletops. Daggermap does not include dice rollers, character sheets, text or voice chat, scripting, rule-sets or a campaign wiki. It is intended to handle the battlemap only, with players providing their own materials for everything else.
