Dark Farts: Parody Smell Edition

Dark Farts: Parody Smell Edition is an action-RPG that parodies the Souls-like genre with a comedic tone. The player takes the role of a blacksmith who is not a chosen one, but who has accidentally gained ancient dragon powers. The story casts this character as humanity’s last hope against evil corporations.

Combat uses a system called Gas-Souls, in which the player can dash using gas and attack bosses with exaggerated moves and finishing attacks. Eating bean burritos provides power-ups, accompanied by dramatic zoom-ins. The player can also strike poses while attacking. A gas meter is part of the game’s mechanics, and how it is managed, along with the player’s style of play, influences which of the multiple endings is reached.

Other features include battles against tech billionaires and other absurd villains, and a protagonist who regularly breaks the fourth wall. The game includes dad jokes and humorous RPG mechanics throughout. The developer states that the game does not condone or promote negative stereotypes based on race, ethnicity or nationality, and that it was made purely for humour.
