DARKLING is a first-person single-player indie horror game set in a haunted house where paranormal activity takes place. The player begins locked inside the house and is not alone within it. The developer describes the game as roughly 20 minutes long and intended to be completed in a single sitting. The game is now released and has received two user reviews on Steam.

Progress through the house involves interacting with objects, locating items and solving basic puzzles in order to find a way out. The game includes jump scares, and the Steam page carries a warning advising player discretion on this point. Other listed features include atmospheric ambience, sound design intended to be immersive, and stylised visuals.

DARKLING is controlled with keyboard and mouse.
