Dataminers
Dataminers is a turn-based logic-adventure in which the player infiltrates the data towers of fictional corporations. The core play draws on Minesweeper: numbers on the grid indicate where nearby datamines are located, and the player hacks them to clear a route upwards. Towers are guarded, so the player must avoid triggering the alarm while working towards the top, where the objective is to hack the mainframe before a pursuing firewall reaches them. Each move is counted, and a wrong move can end the run.
The game offers several modes. Campaign mode presents procedurally generated missions within strategic campaigns, with enemy infrastructures that grow more complex as the player progresses; items and upgrades are available to help evade security. A timed mode challenges players to defuse all mines as quickly as possible and beat their own best times. An endurance mode, set in environments inspired by science fiction films, asks how long the player can survive, while a relaxed mode provides calmer environments in which mistakes carry no consequences.
There are multiple difficulty settings, level progression and unlockables across the modes. Players new to Minesweeper-style rules can learn the mechanics in a Training Center that removes the risk of failure, while those already familiar with the format will find the campaign missions, enemy defences and unlockable items extend the basic formula.
