Dataminers

Dataminers is a turn-based logic-adventure in which players climb the data towers of hostile corporations. Each tower contains datamines, and players use number clues to work out where they are, then hack them to clear a route upwards. The core deduction mechanic is derived from Minesweeper, though it is placed within a setting where towers are guarded, mistakes can trigger an alarm, and a firewall advances behind the player. The goal on each level is to reach the top of the tower and hack the mainframe.

The game offers several modes. Campaign mode presents procedurally generated missions set within strategic campaigns, with enemy infrastructures that grow in complexity and a range of items and upgrades to help evade security. A timed mode tasks players with defusing all mines as quickly as possible to beat personal best times, where a single wrong move ends the run. An endurance mode asks how long players can survive in environments inspired by science fiction films, while a relaxed mode provides tranquil settings in which errors carry no consequences.

Dataminers includes a Training Center for teaching the mechanics to players unfamiliar with Minesweeper. Additional features include multiple difficulty settings, level progression and unlockable items. The game has been released on Steam and currently holds a Positive user review rating.
