Diamonds and Spades

Diamonds and Spades is a roguelite card game. Each run begins with a deck of 100 playing cards, and the player draws one card at a time to score points. Drawing a duplicate card ends the round, so each draw carries a risk. Over 100 tarot cards, each with its own effect, can be combined to alter how the game plays.

After each completed level, the player can visit a shop to add jokers, new cards and tarot cards to the deck. Requirements rise as the player progresses, and boss levels can appear along the way. The game contains 9 unique boss levels and 3 difficulty levels. Tarot cards grant abilities and change the rules, and combining different effects can produce synergies that affect an entire run.

Completing any of the more than 80 achievements unlocks new tarot cards for future runs. The game provides detailed statistics for each run and for each individual tarot card. A built-in editor lets players build the logic of their own tarot cards, draw custom artwork and use the results in play. Custom cards can be shared with other players, and cards made by the community can be tried in turn.
