Fire and Water: Spirits of the Forest

Fire and Water: Spirits of the Forest is a cooperative puzzle platformer designed for two players. Each player controls a forest spirit, and the two characters must work together to clear platforms and solve puzzles. The game supports a keyboard and gamepad combination, or two gamepads. A solo mode lets a single player control both characters.

The spirits are based on the forces of nature, including Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Diamond, Shadow and Electricity. Each one has its own gameplay mechanics suited to its element, and players use these abilities to get through the puzzles. Levels were handcrafted, and the behaviour of objects in the game is calculated using real physics, so solutions depend on factors such as pushing force. Some sections call for agility as well as problem solving.

The game contains no violence. Players meet various types of enemies, including mutant plants, but the aim is to progress without harming them.
