Dumb Ways to Build

Dumb Ways to Build is a physics-based co-operative construction game set in Dumbville, part of the Dumb Ways to Die universe. Players take on the role of a crew at a disreputable construction company and are tasked with completing dangerous jobs. The game supports one to four players in online co-op, and a Solo Play mode is available for those working alone. It is now released on Steam, where it has received over 100 user reviews and holds a Very Positive rating.

The core mechanics involve grabbing, rotating and throwing loose objects to use as building materials, then fastening them together with a nail gun to form bridges, ramps and other structures. Players have access to a tool belt of physics-based equipment, including a sledgehammer and various consumables, which can be used to assist the crew or to interfere with them. Progression is structured around Crisis Jobs, each with its own hazards and challenges that require teamwork and creative use of tools to complete.

Additional features include proximity voice chat for coordinating with other players, maps containing secrets and extra challenge modes, and unlockable cosmetics. Players control a customisable Bean character and can earn cosmetic items to personalise its appearance.
