Dunderbeck

Dunderbeck is an inventory-management auto-battler from the creators of Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Handgrenades. Players take on the role of a Dunderbeck, a worker for the Cincinnati Department of Meats and Sanitation, tasked with clearing the city’s streets of mystical creatures across more than 16 unique locations.

Combat involves picking up and using nearly any object as a weapon, from spoons and lead pipes to rats, with the understanding that improvised weapons will eventually break or wear out. Players must also manage their character’s health by eating food of varying quality, as everything in the game world is stated to be edible at least once.

A central feature is the “Machine,” which allows players to process carcasses and scavenged junk into food, tools, and temporary weapons, with hundreds of craftable items available. Items collected or looted have distinct sizes and shapes, requiring players to manage inventory space by organising items into rows or storing them in unsorted piles.
