Duo Quest

Duo Quest is a cooperative game for two players that combines roguelite deck building with conversation-based play. Players take the role of two adventurers trying to defeat the Demon King, whose invention, the Bondbreaker, has devastated the kingdom. To do so they use Duo Energy, a weapon whose strength depends on the bond between its users. The game is set in an 8-bit fantasy world and is intended for co-op play between people with differing levels of gaming experience.

In combat, players answer questions about themselves and each other, and must match their answers to defeat enemies. The game includes more than 1,000 questions across over 20 themes, and the choices made affect strategy and can unlock combo cards. Players build a custom deck from hundreds of cards that are unlocked across multiple runs, and there are five classes, each with its own set of cards.

Levels are procedurally generated, with randomised routes leading to boss battles, so each run differs. Levels can be replayed to find secrets and unlock further cards. Artifacts found during runs can alter how a player approaches the game. On Steam, user reviews are currently rated Very Positive.
