Dystopicon

Dystopicon is a time management game set in a dystopian society. Players take on the role of a Class-2 citizen who is given a small apartment and a simple job: watching television. Income is earned based on the channels watched, and this money can be spent on services intended to make daily life more comfortable.

Throughout the game, daily government broadcasts inform citizens of changes in society and introduce new items available for purchase. Players can choose to follow the rules and maintain a comfortable existence, or investigate hidden objects and stories, uncovering information that the authorities do not wish to share. Those who choose this path may also collaborate with dissidents and take part in acts of rebellion, though such choices carry consequences.

The game draws inspiration from literary works such as 1984, Brave New World, and Ubik, as well as the video game Papers, Please. Its narrative is conveyed through gameplay systems, written messages, and comic-style sequences.
