Eco Volunteer

Eco Volunteer is an exploration game centred on environmental care. Players move through parks, forests and beaches that change with the seasons, taking on the role of a volunteer whose job is to tidy up and look after the natural areas they visit. The pace is unhurried, with the developer positioning it as a relaxed experience rather than an action game.

The core activities involve gathering rubbish, ranging from small pieces of litter to larger debris, and sorting it for recycling. Players also search for lost pets and stranded hikers, photograph animals for a scrapbook, and complete missions to earn rewards. These rewards can be spent on gear, tool upgrades and vehicle customisation. Tasks are procedurally generated and the game uses a physics system, so each outing differs from the last.

The developer states that the game includes five large maps and targets more than 15 hours of play. Ambient forest sounds and observable plants and wildlife form part of the setting. Eco Volunteer has now moved from development to full release on Steam, where it currently holds a Positive user review rating based on more than ten reviews.
