Hakoniwa Electric
Hakoniwa Electric puts you in charge of Akari and her robot mate Lamp as they mind grandpa’s electronics shop for a year while he’s off sunning himself somewhere tropical. Each stage is its own tiny diorama that changes with the seasons, and it’s absolutely stuffed with little details worth poking around for.
The puzzles here are lovely and gentle. Flip the breaker to get the lights on, then go hunting for broken bits and bobs like record players and coffee makers, each one hiding its own little puzzle to solve. There’s no maths to sweat over and no trial and error grind, just the nice feeling of bringing something back to life.
Clear a stage and Akari’s monthly report fills in a bit more of her daily life, giving you little glimpses of who she’s meeting and how she’s settling into shopkeeping. It’s all very low pressure, no timers or penalties hanging over you, so you can dip in whenever you fancy a quiet, cosy sit down with a good puzzle.
