Flip & Shop Simulator: Prologue

Flip & Shop Simulator: Prologue is a free cooperative city simulation game developed by a third party and focused on running small businesses with friends. Players can work in the same location or split across different premises. The prologue includes three businesses: a pizzeria, a liquor store and a mystical goods shop. Co-op play is deliberately loose, allowing players to help one another, interfere with each other’s tasks, push each other around or simply let a shift fall apart.

Core mechanics vary by business. Food preparation involves following recipes step by step, assembling orders under time pressure and choosing whether to use the correct ingredients. Some shops require checking customer documents, identifying fakes and deciding whether to serve or refuse a customer. Certain businesses also involve organising stock, with players able to arrange items, optimise the available space or set up displays as they see fit. Roles are not fixed, so a player might act as a chef, cashier or document inspector at different times.

The game includes a progression system in which players buy new businesses and choose whether to expand together or separately, scale up an existing operation or start again from scratch. The developer’s description also refers to a broader range of business types beyond the prologue, including pet shops with animal sales, restaurants, fast food outlets and retail stores handling goods and orders, each with its own gameplay.
