Hades II

Hades II is a rogue-like dungeon crawler developed by Supergiant Games, serving as the sequel to Hades. Players take on the role of the immortal Princess of the Underworld, exploring a mythic world rooted in Greek legend and its connections to witchcraft, as they confront the forces of the Titan of Time. The story unfolds gradually across repeated runs, shaped by the player’s successes and setbacks.

Core gameplay involves real-time combat using legendary weapons that can be infused with magick, alongside Boons granted by more than a dozen Olympian gods, allowing for varied character builds. Each run through the Underworld features shifting locations, challenges, and upgrade systems, including the Altar of Ashes, familiars that can be tamed, and reagents gathered using Tools of the Unseen.

The game includes a large cast of fully-voiced characters, combining new figures with those returning from the original game, with story events that vary based on player choices and progress. Permanent upgrades and God Mode are available to assist players, while additional difficulty options offer greater challenge and reward. The game features hand-painted environments, 3D character models, and an original score.
