Haunted Cleaner

Haunted Cleaner follows Jones, a psychic cleaner who has listened to spirits for over 35 years. Having made his home in Germany, he tidies the homes and haunts of the deceased and helps restless ghosts resolve their unfinished business. Now aged 59 and approaching retirement, Jones is faced with the question of who will look after the ghosts once he has gone.

Players clean and decorate rooms, solve mini puzzles, and sort and place objects to return each space to its original condition. Tidying, exploring and a degree of deduction are used to uncover the memories behind supernatural disturbances and to reveal what ties each ghost to the mortal plane. The game is described as low pressure and is designed for unwinding. It contains no lose states or game overs, and players set their own pace.

Between jobs, players meet a cast of characters, connect with locals and take work from clients in the neighbourhood. Locations include cluttered bedrooms, corner stores, living rooms lost to time and a lonely community garden, each with hidden details and secrets to find. The story also explores Jones’s place in the community as he prepares for his next chapter.
