HazardousExtractions

HazardousExtractions is a cooperative first-person horror game set in a city that has been sealed off following an outbreak caused by a leak at the central hospital. After losing contact with a previous squad, Bravo Team, a company called Bionnect Corp. sends in an elite team to recover a briefcase with unknown contents from an underground facility beneath the hospital. Each operative wears a body camera so the company can monitor their movements, and the mission must be completed before dawn.

The game is presented from a body camera perspective that responds to the player’s movements, with audio synchronised to the camera. Players move through dark environments, including a sewer, a laboratory containing information about what has happened, and a section of the city overrun by hostile creatures. Both the monsters and the environment itself pose dangers, and friendly fire is possible, so accidental shots from teammates carry consequences.

The campaign can be played cooperatively with up to four players. The objective across its locations is to explore, deal with biological threats and extract the briefcase as quickly as possible.
