Holon
Holon is a factory-building game in which the player extracts squares and circles from the terrain, connects them with belts and delivers the results to a central Hub to fulfil the current order. Simple shapes can be moved directly, but anything more complex requires a Nest: a small factory the player places on the map and physically enters to work inside.
Within a Nest, shapes can be stacked, painted, cut and turned before being belted back out through the rim, with green marking input and red marking output. Processing buildings only operate inside a Nest, while the outside world is limited to belts, extractors and open space. Hub orders progressively unlock new tools and demand harder shapes, moving from colour extraction to cutting and then burning holes. The map is unbounded, so the player is expected to travel outward to locate the resource patches they need and route them back.
Once a Nest produces the required result, it can be saved and placed again, at which point the entire room functions as a single building. Smaller Nests can later be placed inside larger ones, allowing working designs to be copied and scaled as the Hub asks for greater output. There is no combat and no timer; the challenge comes from producing the next shape and reducing the size of the factory that makes it.
