I Need to Fix My Dream Car (But I Work at a Junkyard)
I Need to Fix My Dream Car (But I Work at a Junkyard) is a game set in a scrapyard, where the player takes apart piles of rubbish, scrap, broken machines and car parts in search of anything useful, valuable or unusual. Money earned from this work goes towards buying missing parts for a rusty old car, which is restored piece by piece until it can be driven again.
Alongside the restoration, customers turn up with requests that involve tracking down rare parts and preparing their vehicles in exchange for payment. Tools and workflow can be upgraded over time, and larger equipment such as a forklift and a magnetic crane becomes available for clearing bigger piles more quickly. Lost dogs can be found hiding around the yard; once rescued and given a home, they assist the player during work.
The game also includes collectible cards and other rare items hidden within the junk. The developer describes the tone as cosy and relaxed, with music, breaks and time spent with the rescued dogs presented as part of the experience.
