INKUBO
INKUBO is a horror game following Eve, a woman living alone who suffers from long-term sleep problems, psychological exhaustion and recurring nightmares. After other treatments fail, her doctor, Dr. Isaac, prescribes strong medication that places her directly into the REM stage of sleep for hours at a time. Once asleep, Eve finds herself in an altered version of her house and discovers she is caught in an endless loop. The only way out is to identify what has changed, survive whatever is inside, and make a run of correct decisions without a single mistake.
Each loop may or may not contain anomalies, which include missing objects, extra objects, changed objects, entities and unusual events. Because anomalies are not guaranteed to appear, the player must decide whether a given loop is clean or altered. Entities present in the house will attempt to kill Eve; some can be evaded by hiding, while others do not offer that option. Events and anomalies are not chained together, and each has its own chance of appearing, so runs differ from one another.
The game offers three difficulty levels, Easy, Normal and Hard, each with its own conditions. Visually, INKUBO is built on the High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP) and makes use of real-time lighting to create its atmosphere.
