Remnants of the forsaken Past : Submerged Fantasy

Remnants of the forsaken Past : Submerged Fantasy follows Raine as she travels through the ocean to learn about an ancient age of magic. Her journey covers the fall of an ancient civilization and the history of her own family. Along the way she faces pirate factions that threaten the world, as well as hostile sea creatures. The setting combines magic and technology.

Gameplay is split between two modes. In submarine sections, the player pilots a vessel through the ocean and fights pirates and sea monsters. The player begins with a first submarine and progresses through to a final one. In the other mode, the player controls Raine in 2D side-scrolling levels, fighting enemies on foot in locations such as underwater caves and research facilities.

The story involves the Metal Guild, a group Raine works with to oppose the plans of the pirate factions. Listed features include story-driven progression, deep sea worlds, submarine combat, character combat and controller support. The game is described as offering more than eight hours of gameplay. One new DLC item has recently been added on Steam.
