Last Days of Tsufana
Last Days of Tsufana is a story-driven, turn-based role-playing game set in a world that was once shaped by an advanced civilisation known as the Lispens. Guided by the deity Myrtir, the Lispens drew on a source of power called Creta before their goddess departed and their society collapsed. In the present day, a sorcerer named Valdisna has spread a curse across Tsufana that causes some people to vanish and most to turn into beasts. Players control Falcon, one of two siblings who set out to end Valdisna’s schemes, while the forces of Quietus, followers of Myrtir who serve the sorcerer, work to stop them.
Progression centres on collecting Creta and equipping them to party members. Each Creta carries between two and four linked abilities, and a character can hold up to four at once, gaining access to spells and skills along with resistances to status ailments and elements. Spells and abilities gain levels through use in combat, which increases the strength of their healing and damage. Battles are turn-based, and enemy weaknesses are tracked on screen: at first only the number of weaknesses is shown, but once one is triggered it is revealed and stays visible in later encounters with that enemy. The game places emphasis on equipment choices and the use of status ailments, with the developer noting that there is usually more than one way to win a fight.
The developer describes this as their longest game to date, with a potential playtime of over 35 hours, and the original soundtrack was composed by HydroGene. The game supports both keyboard and controller input, and windowed or fullscreen mode can be toggled by pressing Fn and F4.
