Life of a Thug

Life of a Thug is a crime simulation game set in Corrupticut City, a fictional city with a neon-lit nighttime setting. The city is home to gangs, mob bosses and corrupt politicians, and locations include bars, kebab shops and casinos. The player starts out with no standing and aims to become a leading figure in the criminal underworld by defeating rivals and building respect.

Progression moves from small-scale offences towards larger mafia-style operations as the player climbs the criminal hierarchy. Criminal activities include mugging, robbing shops at night, making illegal deals and supplying the city’s illicit trade, all of which earn money but can affect the player’s reputation. The crime bosses who run the city present the player with decisions involving moral dilemmas. A daily newspaper points the player towards potential robbery targets, stock market shares, shops and trading opportunities.

The game is intended for adults and contains depictions of crime, violence and strong language. One new DLC item has recently been added to the game on Steam.
