LIMINAL SORTING is an organisation game set in a large liminal space, where players sort more than 6,000 objects across a series of rooms while uncovering abilities, secrets and timed minigames.

LIMINAL SORTING is an organisation game set within an expansive liminal environment. The player is tasked with sorting over 6,000 objects scattered across the space, placing each item in its correct location and restoring rooms one at a time. The setting is described as unfamiliar and seemingly endless, with the developer pairing the tidying gameplay with an element of suspense.

As players work through the environment they can discover additional rooms, gain new abilities and find hidden secrets. These abilities and secrets are intended to help the player sort items more quickly and efficiently. The game also includes timed minigames that test the player’s speed and periodically interrupt the otherwise steady pace of organising.

A mysterious cat is present in the world, described as having been there before the player arrived. The game is structured around relaxing, sorting and exploring, with the developer encouraging players to stay alert while doing so.
