Fish Lab

Fish Lab is a short incremental game developed by a third party in which the player gathers fish for a research lab. The game is synchronised to music, and up to 100,000 fish can appear on screen at once. Collection is carried out by hovering the cursor over fish on the beat, with a range of tools available to increase how many can be gathered.

Each fish collected earns money, and the lab expands automatically as play continues. Players decide how to distribute power between their tools, choosing which ones receive a boost. Progression comes through a tech tree containing more than 200 upgrades, alongside a grant-writing system that unlocks larger equipment upgrades.

Beyond the main mode, Fish Lab includes Sandbox and Endless modes. A Zen mode is also provided, which can be installed as a functioning Windows screensaver.
