Plobania 47/B
Plobania 47/B is a document-inspection game set in a dystopian country where citizens can be placed into mandatory, permanent sleep. Players take on the role of Milton Clarke, an employee at the 47/B Mandatory Sleep Hospital, who examines identification papers and system records for inconsistencies while following regulations that change from day to day.
The core gameplay involves checking documents, applying current rules, and stamping approval or rejection on each case. Rules are not fixed and can contradict one another, and mistakes are tracked by the system, with repeated errors leading to warnings or punishment. Correct decisions do not always lead to positive outcomes, and the consequences of choices, whether right or wrong, may only become apparent days later through the reactions of characters affected by them.
Work takes place using Plobintosh, an in-game government-issued computer that can be used to browse the internet, customise the desktop, investigate mysteries, and play minigames, alongside occasional technical faults such as slow boot times and false error messages. The game includes dialogue with recurring characters, including a supervisor named Director Chuckles, and presents dark humour alongside its dystopian setting. It features multiple endings and unique responses tied to individual player choices.
