Mad Mads Madsen

Mad Mads Madsen is a story-driven psychological horror game. It follows Mads Madsen, a man descended from a family with a history of madness, who has moved into a newly acquired house after losing everything he had. As he dwells on his problems, his mental state deteriorates, and the player experiences the events of the story through the lens of his mind.

The game is played by interacting with the environment. Early on, the player walks through the house and pieces together their situation by deduction, learning about Mads and his family. The overall objective is to find a way out of the house while the character’s mind plays tricks on him. Along the way, players search for a misplaced key and open rooms that were not meant to be seen, gradually uncovering secrets about the family and about who Mads really is.

There are four endings to discover and twelve hidden books to find. The developer has stated that post-release updates will be minimal, potentially including additional subtitle or voice-over languages, fixes or reworks to some assets if requested by many players, asset easter eggs, and small functional tweaks such as new settings or minor physics adjustments.
