Mad Mads Madsen is a psychological horror game that follows Mads Madsen, a man descended from a line of people afflicted by madness. The story takes place in a house he has recently acquired, where his mind begins to work against him. The player’s aim is to uncover the secrets of the story and leave the house alive and well.

Gameplay centres on finding a way out of the house while the character’s deteriorating mind plays tricks on the player. Tasks include locating a misplaced key and opening rooms that were not meant to be entered. The game includes four different endings and twelve hidden books to collect.

The game has now moved from development to a released state. The developer has stated that post-release updates are unlikely, as their attention is shifting to other projects.
