Magic Mess: Restore Order to the Wizard’s Tower!

Magic Mess: Restore Order to the Wizard’s Tower! is a first-person organisation simulator. The story follows a wizard who returns to a long-abandoned tower after many years, accompanied by a dragon. Someone has broken in searching for a hidden object and left 3,040 items scattered throughout the building, including books, potions, scrolls, crystals and magical artefacts. Before tracking down those responsible, the player must put the tower back in order.

The core of the game is placing each item back where it belongs. As progress is made, the player unlocks magical abilities and upgrades intended to speed up the work. These include Magical Sense, which reveals the locations of nearby items; Mass Collection, which pulls several items of the same type towards the player at once; and Instant Placement, which puts held items directly into their correct spots.

While the player works inside, the dragon companion occupies itself outside the tower, returning from time to time to report on what it has found and to comment on the player’s pace. The developer describes the game as a relaxing experience with music and ambient sound designed to suit the setting. The game has now released on Steam and currently holds a Mixed user review rating.
