Maze Quest Odyssey

Maze Quest Odyssey is a puzzle adventure set in a library that exists outside of time. Players navigate randomly generated mazes made up of rooms whose layout differs from one journey to the next. In each expedition the aim is to uncover the map, locate a key and progress through the doors that lead deeper into the Library.

Doors are opened by answering questions drawn from subjects including history, science, mathematics, technology, literature and geography. The game contains thousands of questions, so the set encountered in any given run varies. Along the way, players meet characters based on scientists, mathematicians, inventors, artists, explorers, writers and thinkers from across history, alongside a cast of fictional residents who live in the Library.

The game also includes collectible treasures hidden throughout the Library, with new rewards earned as the player progresses and a collection to build over multiple visits. There is no combat and no overarching threat to overcome; the game is designed to be played at an unhurried pace, with a focus on exploration and learning. Maze Quest Odyssey has now moved out of development and is released.
