Middle Management

Middle Management is a roguelite office simulator in which the player takes on the role of a manager tasked with building a productive workplace. The game involves hiring workers, constructing ergonomic rooms, and arranging furniture intended to enhance performance, all while satisfying the expectations of a boss and various clients.

Workers in the game have their own mental states that must be managed, as they can develop unproductive tendencies over time. The player can enter the minds of employees to influence their behaviour and steer them towards more useful patterns of work.

When workers cannot be made productive through management alone, the game offers alternative uses for them, including consuming them or mutating them into altered forms that differ significantly from their original state. These mechanics are presented as part of the game’s roguelite structure, alongside the ongoing task of office construction and staff management.
