Might & Poison Mushroom
Might & Poison Mushroom is a prologue for the upcoming auto-battler Might & Mushroom. Its gameplay matches the Might & Mushroom demo, with some additional content, and it includes an optional psychedelic visual filter that can be toggled on or off. The premise casts the player as a poisoned adventurer who summons mushroom heroes from a multiverse while hallucinating, with the aim of clearing a dungeon ruled by a dungeon lord.
The core loop revolves around a shop that the player can shape over the course of a run. Mushroom spores can be gathered and added to the shop pool, and unwanted units can be removed entirely, so each reroll draws from a pool the player has curated. Units belong to classes and families, and rerolling can trigger a resonance effect across all units on the board that share a class or family with the pieces in hand, boosting combat power even when a specific unit is not found. Heroes are mushroom themed versions of recognisable characters, such as a Shroom Lich King carrying Shroommourne and a Zhuge Shroom with a feather fan, each with their own skills.
During the preparation phase, the player places heroes on a board. Formation determines which buffs apply and how both sides attack and defend, so positioning and choosing counters to the enemy line-up are central to play. Once combat begins, the battle resolves automatically as units use their abilities. The full version of Might & Mushroom is stated to include more than 50 mushroom units, two evolutionary paths per unit, over 200 relics, more than 100 spell cards and over 10,000 procedurally generated adventure paths.
