Morbid Mailroom is a supernatural horror game in which players inspect prison mail as an inmate, deciding what is allowed through and what is destroyed.

Morbid Mailroom is set in Dethlam, a prison state for occult offenders where inmates are put to work maintaining the facility under constant surveillance. Players take on the role of the prison’s package inspector, tasked with examining letters, parcels and other items sent to inmates within the panopticon-style prison.

The core gameplay involves methodically inspecting each package for contraband, coded messages or forbidden objects, deciding whether to allow items through or destroy them in the incinerator. These decisions are irreversible and affect both the player character’s fate and the wellbeing of other inmates. The game uses a slow burn narrative structure incorporating paranoia and supernatural elements.

The game features handmade, stop-motion inspired visuals described as supernatural claymation horror. Its setting depicts an occult prison state in which high-functioning inmates are exploited for labour under continuous watch, and the inspection mechanics require precision and restraint under pressure, with mistakes carrying lasting consequences.
