忍牌忍战大师 Ninja Cards and Ninja Battle Master offers two separate modes. The first, Ninja Card Master, is a relaxed card game in which players score points against an opponent. The second, Ninja Battle Master, is a casual action mode in which players clear monsters from successive floors using ninja techniques.

In Ninja Card Master, play centres on five attribute card types that counter one another: Thunder Magnet, Water Ice, Wind Hurricane, Flame Melt and Gold Bullet, each available at Level 1 and Level 2. Countering the opponent’s card earns high points, being countered earns low points, and cards with no counter relationship earn a standard amount. Eight support cards (Flower, Void, Curse, Stone, Illusion, Nothingness, Heart and Sound) are also included, each with Level 1 and Level 2 versions. One exchange of cards makes a small round, eight small rounds make a big round, and results are settled at the 11th big round, with the side on the higher HP taking the win. There is no time limit, and the mode uses calm music and backgrounds. Three wins on a floor open that floor’s exit gate.

In Ninja Battle Master, players choose freely from their available ninjutsu to defeat the monsters on each floor, gaining a new technique after every floor cleared. Easy difficulty provides 12 Level 1 escape ninjutsu, including Thunder, Gold, Flame, Water, Wind and Heart, while Special difficulty provides 12 Level 2 versions such as Magnet, Bullet, Melt, Ice, Qi, Nether, Ghost and Music. Players who complete Easy before attempting Special also receive two extra Level 2 secret ninjutsu, Nothingness and Hurricane.
