NovaShift: Universe
NovaShift: Universe is a 2D top-down survivor game. The player takes the role of the Engineer, a drifter between worlds. Each universe is a self-contained run of 15 waves. The player begins with a single weapon and expands their arsenal over the course of the run, but the build resets when moving on to the next universe. Completing a universe grants a Key, and collecting three Keys unlocks a final area called the Center.
There are four universes, each governed by a distinct rule. In Voxel, the player grows larger and takes less damage as they do. In Number, standard bullets are effective against blue enemies, while orange enemies must be dealt with using blasts and auras. In Retro, killing enemies without taking damage multiplies the player’s power. In Alien, movement builds inertia and standing still is fatal. Each universe also has danger levels ranging from 0 to 5, which raise enemy difficulty and offer greater rewards and further unlocks.
The finale in the Center is adaptive: its bosses are drawn from the universes whose Keys the player collected, so the ending varies depending on the route taken. The game includes weapon synergies, evolutions and wild cards, and a hidden finale for players who complete every universe. It is available in English and Turkish. NovaShift: Universe is in Early Access; the developer states the core campaign is complete and can be finished, with balance changes and additional universes planned based on community feedback.
