Once Before Us

Once Before Us is a cooperative puzzle adventure designed exclusively for two players. There is no solo mode, and the game is built entirely around collaboration, with every puzzle requiring both players to act, react and think together. Players explore forgotten places and work through challenges that test both logic and their ability to communicate with one another.

Each area introduces new ways for the pair to communicate and coordinate, and the game places emphasis on attention to detail and clear teamwork. Puzzles involve environmental interaction, with players pushing, pulling, triggering and combining elements to overcome physical and logical obstacles.

The game includes a narrative element in which the players are guided by an unseen character who speaks to them along the way, though his identity and motives are not initially explained. The developer notes that while this is not a horror game, some moments may surprise or disturb players. Once Before Us has now been released on Steam and currently has two user reviews.
