ORACLE: Humanity, Automated
ORACLE: Humanity, Automated is an idle civilisation game about the gradual transfer of work from people to technology. Beginning with two people, the player assigns labour, keeps food and materials flowing, and unlocks new fields of knowledge as the settlement passes through changing ages. Discoveries in one field can open paths in another, and the decisions taken shape the civilisation that follows.
Progression starts with gathering, hunting and shelter, then extends into agriculture, craft, art, science, society and philosophy. Each skill can be trained, its mastery deepened, and then automated, which frees the population to move on to other tasks. The player balances population, workforce, resources, skills, mastery and automation within a calm idle loop described by the developer as having meaningful choices and interconnected progression.
Automation has consequences within the game: work that is lost becomes Echoes, and new eras generate Meaning. A narrator called ORACLE comments on turning points and maintains a civilisation archive built from discoveries, milestones and irreversible decisions. The game includes Steam achievements and support for eight languages.
