Node Factory

Node Factory is a node-based automation and incremental game in which the player takes the role of a Digital Architect tasked with building a tech processing grid. Beginning with an Internet connection and a Power Supply, the player designs networks of nodes to harvest, process and sell data. Harvesters connect to Tokenizers, which in turn feed Neural Trainers, converting raw data into higher-value Insights that generate income.

Progression is driven by a skill tree with dozens of upgrades. Earnings can be invested to speed up production and unlock new node types, expanding from text harvesting to audio and image processing. Later stages involve training Neural Networks, Large Language Models and Diffusion Models. Higher-tier AI nodes consume large amounts of power and produce heat, so players need to build cooling systems, upgrade the power grid and balance inputs and outputs to avoid bottlenecks.

A notable feature is the transparent overlay, which allows the game to run directly over the desktop so players can monitor and adjust their pipelines while working, coding or watching videos. Node connections are made in a free-form sandbox, and the game includes idle progression, meaning an automated pipeline continues to produce returns once it has been set up.
