The Legend of Fancy Realm Remake

The Legend of Fancy Realm Remake is a story driven tactical RPG and an official remake of a strategy RPG first released more than two decades ago. It is set on the continent of Faluosion, a land once said to be blessed by the gods and later ravaged by a conflict known as the Demon War. Although that war is long over, its aftermath continues to shape the present, and new disputes between nations and races form the backdrop for the story. The remake keeps the structure and challenge of the original while rebuilding its visuals and systems, and it includes rebuilt environments, updated character artwork, revised battle effects and expanded story scenes, some of which are new to this version.

Combat is turn based and played out on a tactical grid where positioning matters. Players manage formations, make use of terrain and hold chokepoints, and each character fills a distinct battlefield role with particular strengths and weaknesses. Character progression is handled manually: on levelling up, players allocate stats and choose which skills to learn, and characters can change class as they develop, with some progression routes hidden from view. The developer describes the design as favouring planning over grinding.

The narrative follows a multi path structure carried over and extended from the original game. Player decisions affect the bonds between companions, which in turn can change their loyalty or eventual fate, and at key points where nations come into conflict the story splits into distinct routes. These choices lead to multiple endings that determine the future of Faluosion. The game supports Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, English and Korean.
