Orebits

Orebits is an incremental game set in space, built around mining asteroids for resources. Players break through asteroids with a bouncing pickaxe called the Clickaxe, along with a laser and other mining equipment that can be unlocked over time. The game is developed by a two-person team.

Play is split into missions at different mining sites, each with its own gravitational anomalies and rare artefacts to find. Before a mission, players can hire help to increase the amount of resources collected and to dig further into each asteroid. Resources can be spent on upgrades, new gear and skills, or delivered back to Earth in exchange for permanent research points. These points feed into a roguelite tech tree, where players choose upgrades and look for combinations that work well together.

As players progress, they clear extraction points and learn more about the setting as they explore further into space. At the time of writing, Orebits holds a Mostly Positive rating on Steam from more than 50 user reviews, up from its earlier Mixed rating.
