Panzer Deck
Panzer Deck is a card-based strategy game set during the Second World War. Rather than functioning purely as stat blocks, its cards feature geometric patterns that govern how players gather resources, bring units into play and increase their effectiveness. After each encounter, the player adds cards to their deck, choosing tools suited to the next challenge.
Resource management centres on ammunition and fuel, which are spent to recruit and reposition forces. Recruitment is directly linked to manoeuvring: to bring a unit such as a Sherman tank into service, the player must find resources on the map arranged in a shape that matches the pattern shown on that unit’s card. The map changes over the course of play, and the same pattern-matching is used to boost firepower during battle.
In combat, each unit has distinct strengths and weaknesses, and terrain and Operation cards can be used to strengthen troops at particular moments. The developer describes the game as a mix of logic puzzles and combat with simple rules, high replayability and freedom in approach, presented with hand-drawn graphics and historically accurate units. It is explicitly not a 4X strategy game, a tactical battlefield simulation or a game with realistic resource management.
