Parry Survivor

Parry Survivor is a rhythmic action game set in an area referred to as the Kun-Domain. The player controls an anime heroine who faces an endless, infinitely spawning horde of enemies known as Kuns. The waves grow progressively harder, and the aim is to survive for as long as possible.

Combat is built around parrying, described by the developer as Sekiro-style. Rather than attacking freely, the player is expected to meet each incoming Kun attack with a correctly timed deflect. Doing so breaks the enemy’s posture, and once a Kun’s guard has been fully broken the player can perform an execution move. These finishers are accompanied by dynamic camera angles and visual effects.

Between waves, resources collected from defeated Kuns can be spent in an in-game shop. Purchases include permanent damage increases and new weapons, which change both the heroine’s appearance and her combat effectiveness. The game has now been released on Steam, where it holds a Very Positive rating from more than 50 user reviews.
