Pocket Chief!

Pocket Chief! is a desktop application featuring a character called Chief, who sits in a corner of the user’s desktop. She keeps track of the tasks the user has been working on and collects them in a section called Current Work. Each item there can later be kept, marked as done or ignored.

A timeline arranges the day’s activity in order, making it possible to find tasks that were left unfinished earlier. Chief occasionally adds her own comments to it. At the end of the day, a daily review shows completed work alongside anything left outstanding, and the user can select items to carry over to the next day. Users can also chat with Chief from the edge of the desktop. These conversations are saved with that day’s record, and her tone and reactions change as more time is spent with her.

Before first use, a feature called Activity must be set up. Recording of new activity can be paused at any point. Raw screenshots are processed locally and are not uploaded. The AI features are provided through Pocket Chief Cloud, which users sign in to with their Steam account, and which receives only the context required for each request.
