POWDR
POWDR is a particle sandbox that uses GPU acceleration to simulate as many as 1,000,000 active particles at once, although performance depends on the player’s hardware. The framerate is unlocked, and a range of simulation and performance settings are available. Players can pour granular materials such as sand, soil, stone and snow to form landscapes, or fill the world with fluids including water, oil, acid, nitro and molten materials.
The game includes more than 40 materials, covering powders, liquids, gases, solids, molten substances, plasma and fire. These interact through systems for heat, pressure, combustion, phase changes and material reactions. Players can also apply forces such as vortices, attractors and repulsors. Vegetation can be grown from individual seeds, and the world follows a day-and-night cycle. Autonomous stickmen explore the environment, respond to danger, gather resources and cooperate to build procedurally generated structures, including houses, towers, wells, bridges and windmills.
For destruction, the game offers explosive and kinetic missiles, orbital beams, nuclear strikes and a black hole that grows and pulls apart its surroundings. Scenes can be saved and loaded.
