Quarantine Zone: The Last Check is a simulation game set during a zombie outbreak, in which the player operates a checkpoint tasked with screening survivors before allowing them entry. Using scanning tools and observation, players must identify signs of infection, contraband, and rare items among those seeking passage, then decide whether to send individuals to quarantine, the lab, the living block, or turn them away entirely.

Beyond checkpoint duties, the game involves managing a growing camp, including the supply of power, food, and medicine to sustain the survivor population. When threats escalate, players can pilot armed drones to prevent infected individuals from breaching the compound. Effective base management unlocks additional resources, tools, and weapon upgrades over time.

The game also includes mechanics around handling zombies that emerge from quarantined survivors, allowing players to harvest samples for research in exchange for upgrades and staff experience. Survivors with unknown symptoms can be analysed for further knowledge, though such tests result in the subject’s death, presenting choices between preserving life and pursuing scientific advancement.
