Regions of Ruin: Runegate

Regions of Ruin: Runegate is an action RPG with hack-and-slash combat and an exploration focus. The player controls a lone dwarf in the ruins of a fallen dwarven civilization, where little remains but dust, scattered exiles and monster-infested lands. The aim is to re-establish a haven for dwarven survivors while investigating the mysteries left behind by their forebears.

The game world covers varied environments, including lush landscapes, hazardous weather and caverns filled with glowing crystals. Players gather resources, meet allies and fight enemies that threaten the remaining dwarves. Dwarven allies encountered along the way can be helped and recruited, and the player works to rebuild a civilization. Collecting resources and meeting skilled adventurers unlocks new facilities and technologies.

Character customisation covers the hero’s appearance and preferred fighting style, supported by a range of weapons, gear and skill trees. Encounters can be approached directly, for example with a spear, or through stealth, such as attacking a goblin from behind.
