Regions of Ruin: Runegate drops you into the boots of a lone dwarf trying to bring their people back from the brink. The old dwarven civilization is gone, wiped out and scattered, and it’s up to you to explore what’s left of their land, uncover its secrets and start rebuilding a home for the survivors.
We love how much this game lets you shape your own journey. You’ll trek through everything from lush forests to glittering crystal caverns, fighting off enemies that actually adapt to how you play, whether that’s charging in with a spear or sneaking around for a sly backstab. Along the way you’ll recruit dwarven allies, gather resources and unlock new tech and facilities to grow your settlement into something worth protecting.
With deep character customisation, varied weapons and gear, and skill trees to mess about with, there’s a lot of room to build your dwarf exactly how you want. It’s part hack-and-slash, part builder, all wrapped up in a world that feels genuinely worth saving.
