Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged is an enhanced version of the classic adventure game in which players follow tourist George Stobbart and journalist Nico Collard as they uncover a conspiracy connected to the Knights Templar. The story moves through various locations across Europe and the Middle East, beginning in Paris, as the two characters piece together clues and confront a hidden mystery. The game is fully voice acted and features puzzles based on observation, deduction, and object manipulation.

This Reforged edition includes 4K remastered visuals, allowing players to toggle between the original and updated graphics at any time. The audio has been enhanced, including a revised presentation of the original soundtrack composed by Barrington Pheloung. Additional bonus content includes previously unheard dialogue restored from the original scripts and unlockable secrets available after completing the game.

The game supports both classic point-and-click controls and a more modern adventure gameplay style, with options for mouse, controller, or touchscreen input. Additional features include a story recap, adjustable hint systems, autosave and manual save options, a dialogue history log, and customisable interface settings such as fast exit and subtitle configuration.
