Risk of Rain 2
Risk of Rain 2 is a third-person action roguelike set across more than a dozen handcrafted alien locales, each populated with monsters and large bosses. Players can fight through to a final boss and escape, or continue a run indefinitely to test how long they can survive as both the player and enemies scale in power over time.
The game features over 110 collectible items that alter a character’s abilities and stats, with effects that combine as more are gathered. Item lore and strategic information can be found through in-game logs. There are eleven playable survivors, including the Commando, Engineer, Huntress, Captain, and MUL-T, each with distinct combat styles and unlockable alternate skills. Artifacts can be unlocked to modify gameplay, such as enabling friendly fire, randomising survivor spawns, or adjusting item selection.
Stages, enemies, and items are randomised each run, meaning no playthrough is identical. The game can be played solo or in online co-op with up to three other players, and includes the Prismatic Trials, a separate mode featuring rotating challenges.
