Save Mom

Save Mom is an action game set in a post-apocalyptic United States. The player has only their mother and an old motorhome left, and must travel through cities affected by mutants and pollution. Mom is described as kind-hearted and gentle, and she attempts to pet mutants, have tea with Illuminati spellcasters and offer cookies to billionaire skin-dancing cultists, so the player must defend her from the forces that threaten her.

The game can be played solo or with one to three friends in co-op. Players choose a family member to control, and each character has a distinct set of skills ranging from close-range brawling to long-range blasting. Characters can be upgraded as the game progresses, with abilities customised to suit the player’s preferred style of play.

Between threats, players visit points of interest such as gas stations, scrap yards and pharmacies to gather resources. These resources are used to build defences and to unlock and install upgrades for the RV, including armour, turrets and a spiked roller. The aim is to get Mom safely to her destination.
