Speed Weaver
Speed Weaver is an endless score-attack driving game set on a procedurally generated highway. Players steer through dense traffic at speed, avoiding collisions and earning point multipliers by passing other vehicles at close range, which the game calls Close Calls. The traffic includes standard commuter cars, slow-moving heavy vehicles such as buses, semi-trucks and garbage trucks, fast and aggressive emergency vehicles including police cars, ambulances and fire engines, and rarer sightings such as limousines, food trucks and older cars.
Progression is based on earning XP to unlock vehicles across 20 tiers. Early tiers offer hatchbacks and compact sedans with top speeds between 80 and 115 km/h, mid tiers add sports hatches, muscle cars and GT cruisers, and the final tiers include concept cars, supercars and hypercars that reach up to 300 km/h with sharper steering and stronger braking. The game offers two steering modes: a Beginner mode using arcade-style lane offsets suited to casual play and touch controls, and a Pro mode using 3D vehicle physics with rotational momentum.
Road layouts for leaderboard challenges change at the start of each week, and weekly leaderboard events present 10 escalating challenges with global rankings tracked in real time. Audio includes an engine RPM system whose pitch responds to speed, along with wind loops and collision sound effects. The game supports keyboard, controller and touch input. It was created by a solo independent developer using the Godot 4 engine.
