Star Trucker

Star Trucker is a space trucking simulation developed by Monster and Monster. Players take on the role of a trucker navigating a rocket-powered rig through space, completing jobs such as long-haul deliveries and hazardous drop-offs to earn money and unlock new content. The game features an open road structure set across hyper highways, with a galactic map used to plan routes and warp jumps.

Core mechanics include zero-gravity momentum affecting vehicle handling, requiring players to adapt to a driving style distinct from standard vehicle controls. Maintaining the truck is a key part of gameplay, involving monitoring core systems, the gravity compensator and hull integrity to prevent depressurisation. Players can visit shops for replacement parts and garages to upgrade their vehicle, which aids in safely completing deliveries through hazardous sectors.

The game includes a CB radio system through which players can hear chatter from other truckers, leading to side jobs and additional narrative content. It also features an original soundtrack spanning genres described as starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid-infused Americana, playable through an in-cab radio during travel.
